Community Helpers Week

We had so much fun learning about jobs in our community.  We talked about the jobs our parents do and jobs we might want to have when we grow up.  We had Dr. Tracy Guilford visit us from Dr. Denzinger's office and teach us about caring for our teeth.  We also had Mrs. Teresa from the New Albany Animal Shelter visit us and bring her service dogs.

Such cute little chefs

We enjoyed playing veterinarians this week at the pet center.

Letter M objects

Watch how we touch under each word to read.  We are understanding that letters make words, and words make sentences.  We know that we put a "meatball space" between words and just a "spaghetti space" between letters.

We talked about builders being a job we could be and the importance of measuring.  We used a little ruler to measure pencils.

They LOVED making their doctor kits!

Ruler art!
