Rainbow Week

We had a great week making colorful rainbows and talking about leprechauns and St. Patrick's Day!

I loved all the home projects!

Rainbow sight words

We always love a craft that we can eat while we create. :)

This friend brought us a special St. Patrick's day treat to share. :)
A room of green!

A fun one for our special portfolios
Using dominos for simple addition sentences
We have so many great builders in our room. :)

We have worked on at least 24 sight words now!  Can you believe it?
This was a colorful art project...we used the colors of the rainbow and added salt to give it a bright shimmer.
We reviewed this week with some independent practice with our letters and numbers.

We added another poem to our poetry notebooks and we'll start sending these home after break.
Thanks for a fun week friends! Have a great spring break and I'll see you March 31st!

Ocean Week!

Ocean week is always a favorite at preschool! There are so many fun crafts to do and everyone loves reading about fish, dolphins, sharks and more.
We used bubble wrap to make a bubbly ocean scene.
Sequencing fish in order from least to greatest.

Reading our color words independently is no problem for us!
Look at that tall tower!
Great work during table top centers

Fish faces!!!
Putting seashells in order from 11-20!  Wow! We sure are smart. :)
Fun with friends

We LOVED getting outside on the playground again!!  We are thankful for the sunshine.

We read our daily question and signed up under the right column. It looks like we are fans of sharks!  EEK! :)
This friend learned how to tie his shoes and taught us how.  Good job buddy!

We made cute little fish bowls with our handprints.
Dotted fish time...

These boys love to build each day

We made predictions and tested whether certain objects would float or sink.
Check out these awesome fish drawings!

We've been learning about how some books teach us real facts (non-fiction) and how some books are just for fun (fiction).  We had so many ocean books this week that we decided to get in groups based on our prediction by only looking at the cover.  All of these friends decided their books would teach us facts about ocean life.  I agree! Great job friends!
These friends decided their books would be fiction, and more of a fun story to enjoy.  Way to go smarties!  What a fun week!
