Finishing up our Christmas theme :)

This was a short week due to the snow but we were still able to get a lot done! We spent Tuesday celebrating Baby Jesus and the true meaning of Christmas. On Wednesday we had a "Polar Express Day." We wore our pajamas to school and enjoyed hot cocoa listening to one of my favorite Christmas stories. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a fun holiday break with your family!! See you January 3rd! :)

Painting our ornaments

Decorating Jesus' birthday cake

Creating a manger scene

Choo choo...it's time for the polar express!

Writing letters to Santa

Making several crafts

Wrapping presents for our parents all by ourselves...well almost by ourselves. :)

Yummy...hot cocoa, marshmallows, candy canes and cookies

Opening our gifts from our teachers

We were looking SO cute in our jammies! :)

Christmas Traditions

We have been busy little elves in our room this week making several special projects for Christmas! Our favorite creation was our gingerbread houses. It's always fun to work on a tasty project. :) We'll be sending home all of our special work next week just in time to add some final decorations to your festive homes. :) Until then...here's a peek at our elves in action.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

...everywhere you go!! We are definitely in the Christmas spirit at school! We enjoyed decorating our classroom with Christmas decorations and utilizing our creative side by making some Christmas keepers for home. We are having fun singing traditional Christmas songs and a few silly ones too. Here are some pictures of our jolly selves at work this week. :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Just a few pictures from the week....

Making turkeys

They organized this completely on their own! They put their chairs in this row and pretended they were on a train! I am so proud of them for playing so well together. :)

We talked a lot about the first Thanksgiving and how the Pilgrims and Native Americans wouldn't of went to Kroger to buy their Thanksgiving food. :) So we decided to make something a little bit from scratch. We made our own butter by shaking whipping cream in baby food jars. They were excellent shakers and the butter tasted pretty good!

Trying out our creation on toast. I think this was one treat that everyone enjoyed. :)
