Oceans!

We dove right in the last two weeks and learned about oceans! We enjoyed reading many fiction and non-fiction books about ocean creatures, singing new songs about ocean life and creating a lot of cool ocean art work! This was the perfect theme to get us ready for spring break since some of us are heading to the beach. :)

Working hard on our colorful fish
Even Batman can do table work :)
Enjoying ocean books
Sponge painting ocean creatures and adding bubbles

Making our jellyfish

Digging in to find ocean creatures hiding in the blue waters...
Counting and graphing is no problem for us
Painting ocean pictures
Using bingo dotters to count and record each number
Making our own sea globes :)

Dotted fish pictures
Crawling through tunnels burns off some of our energy when we can't go outside.
A little break from ocean life to make a leprechaun for St. Patrick's Day.
Rainbows with a pot of gold at the bottom

Trying some Irish soda break. Most of us gave it the thumbs up!

Zoo animals

Animals were the hit this week as we learned all about animals at the zoo. The monkeys in our room did a great job acting out their favorites as we sang and danced to some of our new songs. The animal love will continue next week as we move off of the land and into the ocean!
"Marble art" made for some interesting zebras. We loved shaking the box as hard as we could!

We also used marbles this week to build some very tall marble run structures.

There's always time to get into costume at preschool. :)

We love getting creative at the easel.

"Ta-da" An almost complete lion

Working hard on their lions too

Enjoying the sunshine and the new slide

Working hard on our cutting skills

We used food coloring to make some new watercolors to paint our favorite zoo animals.
Mrs. Traci always helps us with our work. :)
We can see lots of animals at the zoo!
