We had such a fun week with one of our favorite preschool authors, Eric Carle. His books are fun, sometimes predictable and have really cool pictures! Our favorites were, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Very Busy Spider, Polar Bear Polar Bear What do you Hear & The Very Lonely Firefly.
We love sharing our traveling pet, Pluto each Monday. He gets to go on some exciting adventures each week. Each friend will have a chance to take him home.
Working on our cutting skills-such a great skill for kindergarten and it helps strengthen our hand muscles for writing. :)
Making our little caterpillars. We used a hole puncher to make holes where the caterpillar munched...also another great fine motor activity. :)
One of our friends donated this huge set of Littlest Pet Shop. This was a HUGE hit all week!
Mrs. Margie Banet came and shared a wonderful lesson with us on butterflies. We got to see the eggs, caterpillars, chrysalis and release her butterflies! So cool!
Bye butterflies!!
She left us with some caterpillars to watch all week. We couldn't believe how much they ate!! The milkweed plants were gone over night and left behind was a lot of....well I'll let you ask your child that one! Ha!
Reading and stamping our new color word, yellow
We love watercolors!
Working hard on letter E.
We love "Letter School" on the class IPad. This is a great one to get at home on your phone or your IPad. They get to trace the letter and it's super fun and interactive!
E is for Easter Egg!
E is for Elsa!
E is for elephant!
and...Elmo, Eeyore, Ewok and ear plugs!
"Y-E-L-L-O-W spells yellow! Yellow spells yellow. Like the early morning sun when the day has just begun, yellow spells yellow!" You can YouTube the color songs to hear how we sing them. :)
Mixing paints and textures to make our spider look like Eric Carle's art work.
