Leaf Week!

We had a fun week talking about leaves and all of the changes of season we get to see each day outside.  We had some expert leaf hunters and investigated the different shapes and colors of leaves brought in.  We also starting getting some of our orders in from your trike-a-thon donations!  Woohoo!!  So exciting!!!
We now have apple tv and new flat screens in each classroom from your generous donations!  We can easily watch short, 30 second clips now on the letter of the week, the color song and so much more!  They LOVE Storybots videos!  You can assess these on YouTube if you'd like to check them out. :)

Painting colorful fall trees
Mrs. Jaime's class found a frog on the playground and brought it in to show us!
"Look Mrs. Tracy! I found the letter U that we are working on this week!"  Smart boy!
One to one correspondence with stickers.  Good counting friend!
These girls worked together and sorted the insects by color all on their own!!  What smart thinking!
Happy birthday friend!

Color brown and objects that start with a "U"

We had several friends thinking about umbrellas. :)

Several that liked unicorns!

And Uno, Up, UPS, uniform and letter U

We also can use the app "letter school" to practice writing our letters.  This game teaches us the right way to write each letter (starting at the top) and our other friends can watch us on the tv.  This new addition to our class will add an awesome technology piece to our learning!

Happy birthday friend!!

Our workroom supplies arrived!! We have new paints, pipe cleaners, googly eyes, buttons, feathers, water colors, glue, paint cups, crayons, markers and more!!  This will all help us make our wonderful crafts each week!  Teacher orders for individual classroom goodies are being made this week!  We sure are a blessed school!
