We have been having so much fun in the new year with our winter themes. Thankfully all of our snow and ice classroom activities didn't bring the real stuff outside (although the kids would have loved that)!
Floating polar animals on water in our sensory tub
Melting ice cubes with her warm hands
At this table they were invited to select from a large, medium and small circle to paint their own snowman. I was so impressed with how well they knew how to do this!
Big readers!
We learned how to make snowflakes by folding and cutting. No two are alike just like us. :)
Oh no! Our snowmen have melted!
snowglobes!
R is for Ring
R is for rabbit
Racecars
More cool R objects
Loved all the snowman projects
Melting ice cubes...we used water and syringes and salt
Smashing through ice with kid friendly hammers and tees to find hidden treasures
This is SOOO cool to watch as a teacher! I have pictures of various animas, toys and food. They pick a card and try to listen for the sounds in the word and try their best to write it. Our goal is to at least get the starting sound. Looks like kindergartner writers to me!!
Matching uppercase to lowercase letters
Yah for a sunny day to get outside!!!
Ewwwwww worm time!
working on last names
