Ocean Week

We are finally through the snow (hopefully) and onto warmer weather which was the perfect time to talk about the ocean!  These friends knew a lot about ocean creatures already!  I was so impressed!  Since they knew so much about some of the common ocean creatures like the whale and shark, we found some more unique creatures like the frog fish to read about!  We love learning new facts about animals.

We started new table top centers in the morning this week!

What a cute crab!

We learned how to draw a fish step by step

Counting and graphing-we can mostly do this independently now!

We love "Letter School" on the Ipad to practice writing our letters.

We spent time exploring and reading ocean books.

We have been learning the difference between fiction and non fiction (or we say real and make believe sometimes).  We can usually tell by the front cover which genre it will be.  These girls are comparing two sharks books...one is fiction and one is non-fiction.  So smart!

Going through the minds in motion maze...look at us go!

Our fish!

Our "Z" objects

Reading and putting sentences in order...

"From our submarine we could see...."

We started student of the day on Wednesday.  Each student will get a turn to take the special box home and bring back fun things to share.  We will draw each student and make their drawings into a special book for them to keep. So fun!
