Pet Week!

We had such a fun week talking about our special pets at home and pets that we would like to have!

 

We enjoyed painting cats out of our handprints and dogs from our footprint. :) 

See how we can independently stamp the word cat.  We learned that letters read from left to right to write a word.

We loved all things pet shop this week! 

We pretended to be veterinarians at the pet clinic.

This week our shape was a square.  We talked about the circle then moved in to make a square.   

Only in preschool do you get your foot painted! ha!  Sure made for a cute puppy with those little toes. :)

Family and friends week!

We had a great 2nd week of school talking about our special families and our new friends at school. 

Each morning we find our names and work on our table top center.  We are either working on a math, literacy or fine motor activity. 

This week we made a class graph about the number of siblings we have at home.  We counted and compared our results.  We learned to use the words "most" and "least."

The play-doh table is a favorite!!!!   

The family projects were so fun to share!!  Great job parents helping with this project.  Thank you!  They are hanging in our room for us to see each day.

Each day we sing this letter sound song while we get to watch the letters and pictures. 

Can you guess what shape we are?  This week we learned about the circle!  Can your child find circles around your house? 

We loved decorating our picture frames with the picture of our new friend in class.

More family projects!

Drawing our families and telling what our family members like to do.  We learned how to draw realistic people by adding details such as eyes, noses, smiles and counting their fingers. 

Using stamps and stickers, we made a whole page of circles while exploring the shape. 

I LOVE these proudly hanging on our class bulletin board.  Aren't they so precious? 

Ready.....break!  So cute!  We had an awesome week!  Next week we are excited for our new theme, Pets!
