Eric Carle Week!

We enjoyed studying our favorite preschool author this week, Eric Carle and reading his adorable stories.  Our favorite books were Brown Bear, Brown Bear and The Very Hungry Caterpillar.  We loved the repetitive text in his stories and how we can read along with our teachers.
Table top centers-matching pattern blocks to build pictures
Building with different materials and shapes helps our counting skills and makes our fingers strong. :)
"Carpet time"
We are loving the homemade Play-Doh!  Thank you to all the mommies making it for us. :)
We enjoyed free painting at the easel this week.
We went on a letter hunt around the room.
"I found b!"
Some of our favorite Eric Carle books from the week
Happy birthday friend!
Building with friends
Working on our "E" mini book
and our letter notebooks that we'll start bringing home soon!
Taking an important phone call :)
This friend brought "Ethan" for his letter E object. ha!
More great "E" shares

Another table top center...driving the cars into the correct letter (matching uppercase with lowercase letters)
Matching numbers with counted dots
Our hands made for some cute yellow ducks to go with Eric Carle's story and our color of the week.
Building shapes with pegs

Reading our mini spin off book from Brown Bear.  We used the picture clues to help us read each word.  We are so smart!
