Happy Thanksgiving!

Just a few pictures from the week....

Making turkeys

They organized this completely on their own! They put their chairs in this row and pretended they were on a train! I am so proud of them for playing so well together. :)

We talked a lot about the first Thanksgiving and how the Pilgrims and Native Americans wouldn't of went to Kroger to buy their Thanksgiving food. :) So we decided to make something a little bit from scratch. We made our own butter by shaking whipping cream in baby food jars. They were excellent shakers and the butter tasted pretty good!

Trying out our creation on toast. I think this was one treat that everyone enjoyed. :)

And just plain giggles....that's the best sound for teachers to hear during class. :) We are thankful for sweet, happy kids that get to have fun each day learning!

Beautiful fall!

There is no better way to enjoy this beautiful fall weather than to observe it ourselves! We loved learning about the colorful leaves of fall and enjoyed playing outside with the new cooler weather.

WOW! What a beautiful tree you painted!

Observing and discussing many different types of leaves

Our sensory table now has rice in it and there was a lot of scooping, pouring, mixing and transferring going on all week.

Leaf prints

Will brought in some great pine cones from his yard for everyone so we decided to spruce them up. :)
