Snow and ice week

We had so much fun this week exploring ice and snow!  Our favorites were breaking through ice in the sensory bin with kid friendly hammers and tees, melting ice cubes with salt and water drops, and discovering we can make our own unique snowflake with folds and scissors!  We also made puffy snowmen with paint and shaving cream and created snow people for our bulletin board.  Check out our fun below.

Winter Animals!

We had a fun week talking about polar animals!  We were busy with many activities but our favorites were:  making homes for our animals at the play doh station, making igloos with marshmallows and testing the icy waters with homemade blubber to see if we could handle the frigid temperatures.  We are taking off with our reading and love to play teacher and lead the class in simple sentences.  Sorry the pictures are out of order....new computer and they're importing funny.
