President's Week

Our theme this week was presidents.  We focused on who our current president is, what his role is and some famous presidents from the past.  We learned that some presidents have their faces on coins and dollars and enjoyed learning the amounts of each coin.  Several of us said that if we were president we would "keep everybody safe" while a few said they'd make ice cream for dinner every night!  I love hearing their answers.  :)
It was hard work to paint the skinny stripes on our American flags.
We got out a few new floor puzzles this week.  They love working together as a team to build them.
We made our campaign signs as if we were running for president.
Great team work friends!
This friend is putting together an elaborate meal for her classmates!
Mrs. Traci helped us learn about tally marks.  On Monday we flipped our penny and graphed the amount of times it landed on heads and tails.  On Tuesday we used our results to learn about tally marks.  We sure are smart!
We are still drawing a new friend each day for student of the day books.  Our drawing development has really improved!
This new table top center helps us form our letters correctly starting at the top.
Our big magnetic board allowed us to match coins with the money amount this week.
These friends are reaching into the mystery box and pulling out letters together.
We learned Lincoln lived in a log cabin.
One of our featured student of the day's this week. :)  Great coloring!
