We had such an awesome first day that I just had to share these cuties with you right away! We read The Kissing Hand and talked about Chester's kiss from his mom on his palm. We made you a special handprint with a heart in case you miss us while we are at school. :). We also read My Teacher's My Friend and talked about all of the fun things we'll do this year and how much our teachers love us! We worked on our names and special portfolio keepsakes for later in the year, enjoyed playtime with friends, a yummy snack, the playground and worked our bodies and mind in the Minds-in-Motion-Room. It was a super first day! Thanks for sharing your special kiddos with us!

Table top centers are out of the kiddos when they walk in each morning. They find their name and then have fun with the center in front of them. Centers might be fine motor activities such as moving marbles with tongs, they might be matching letters or numbers, stringing beads, doing a puzzle and various building centers.
Carpet time-where we sing, dance, read books, and learn all about our theme and academic skills we are targeting of the week.
