Apple Week!

Red, green and yellow....it was hard to pick our favorite apple!  We loved taste testing, graphing our results and doing many fun apple activities.

It was fun to make our apple sun catcher.  Hopefully it is hanging in a sunny window at home.

Graphing our results....red was the class favorite!

Sharing our adventures with Cookie our traveling class pet

Apple stamping with real apple halves

We played an apple dice game where we rolled, counted and then found the number on our tree.  We sure have some great counters!

We learned about the apple lifecycle and also the parts of an apple.  We were able to label the parts of our apple with some help in our group. :)

We absolutely love the sensory table.  We are scooping, pouring, measuring, estimating and so much more when we play at this table.  This "play" teaches us so much!

Dressing up is so fun at school with friends

We played a Pete the Cat board game with Mrs. Traci.  We are counting, sharing and taking turns.

We listened to our teacher read a story called "The Little Red House."  In this old folk tale, a little boy is searching for a little red house with no doors, no windows and a star inside his mother has told him about.  In the end he wanders into an apple orchard and finds the secret....inside an apple is the star.  They loved this story and the surprise ending. :)

Our favorite song this week was "Way up high in the apple tree." Click on the link to hear...maybe your child can sing it to you!

Thumbs up for a great week!
