Pete the Cat Week

Some of our favorite stories this year have been from the Pete the Cat series. This week we devoted a whole week to our friend Pete. His stories are funny, repetitious and always teach a good lesson. He sure is groovy. :)

Writing and reading our own version of Pete the Cat

Looking good cats!

Student of the day with his special items

Of course we had to paint Pete the Cat and make him with our crafts for the week.

This friend practiced and could read a Pete the Cat book all by herself to the class. Wow!

We love drawing our student of the day friends :)

Pet Shop Day!!

Our last student of the day for the week shares :)

We used buttons to string a bracelet to go with Pete and his groovy buttons.

We learned about patterns this week...but not just the easy AB pattern. We can do an AAB pattern or ABC etc...We sure are smart!

We used buttons for acting out subtraction stories.  Then we drew buttons and crossed them out for our subtraction story and wrote the number sentence.

This friend shared a book with us too!  Way to go!
