Catching up :)

Here are pictures from the last few weeks!  Just catching up...Enjoy!
Wonderful snowmen projects completed with our families!

Snowman art

We loved having ice in the sensory table!

Reading our color words during space week on a rocket
Sorting snowmen by attribute. Some sorted by hats, buttons or smiles.

Happy birthday friend!
Great teamwork!

We used toothpicks to poke holes through the letters in our names to make a constellation. It looked so neat holding it up to the light.

We are reading so many sight words now that we can put sentences together and read them!
We water colored our own planet and gave each one a name.

Fun in the room...

Beautiful planets!

Polar Animal Week

It was so nice to be back at school with our friends after Christmas break!  This week we waddled like penguins and growled like polar bears learning all about the animals that live in the cold.
We also talked about the New Year and worked on memorizing our birthday, phone number and address.

We enjoyed playing in the centers with our friends we had missed!

We set goals for the new year.
We waddled like penguins (or from this picture I did-ha!) to a song that taught us that penguins are birds but cannot fly.
We absolutely love working the big floor puzzles with a partner. I am so impressed with how good we are at these!

We are now putting our last name together and writing it on our papers. We sure are smart!

We worked on our new letter for the week with bingo dotters.
We stamped an icy scene for our polar bears at the art table.
Pretty girls all dressed up!

We used dice to count and work on number recognition.

Our footprint made an adorable penguin!
We are reading so many predictable books now with the sight words we are learning.  We sure are proud of ourselves when we can read a book to our family!

This was an important phone call. :)

We had a couple birthday boys to celebrate. Happy birthday friends!
