Gobble, gobble, gobble!

We had fun this week with our new theme turkeys! We are getting ready for Thanksgiving and have much to be thankful for! I am thankful for my wonderful class that I get to spend time with each school day!

The whole gang :)

Trying out some tricky patterns

Buddy reading

Working with a pal on Mr. Potato Head

Trying out the new marker boards where we can work on our letters, numbers, words or just draw a silly picture. :)

We are so proud of our work!

Learning and sharing with a buddy

Very colorful turkeys!

Mrs. Traci paints our hands to make another colorful turkey

Scooping, pouring and transferring at the rice table

Taking our time painting the turkey's feathers

And just plain giggles....that's the best sound for teachers to hear during class. :) We are thankful for sweet, happy kids that get to have fun each day learning!

Working one on one with Mrs. Tracy

Painting with friends :)

This smart gal was reading a book to her friends and pretending to be the teacher. :)

Beautiful fall!

There is no better way to enjoy this beautiful fall weather than to observe it ourselves! We loved learning about the colorful leaves of fall and enjoyed playing outside with the new cooler weather.

WOW! What a beautiful tree you painted!

Observing and discussing many different types of leaves

Our sensory table now has rice in it and there was a lot of scooping, pouring, mixing and transferring going on all week.

Leaf prints

Will brought in some great pine cones from his yard for everyone so we decided to spruce them up. :)

Halloween week

What a fun week! We loved making some not too spooky crafts and dressing up in our costumes! I loved spending time with Buzz, Alice, a jaguar, a pirate, Captain Hook, a swamp monster, a cheerleader, and an Indian Chief. It's not everyday you get to hang out with those characters. :)

We had to sing "Itsy Bitsy Spider" while we were sitting on the web. :)

We made a web and tried to lift and move our spiders without letting them fall. This took some good teamwork!

Our marble art projects-spider webs!

A special birthday! Happy birthday sweet boy!

Another Buzz stopped by to say hello

Look at these cuties!!! Love it! :)

Our visit to Hillside Vet

Pumpkin Fun

Studying pumpkins allowed us to do a lot of neat artwork and science this week! We loved learning about the outside of a pumpkin and then getting inside to see what's really in there. :)

Predicting if it will sink or float?????

The kiddos picked a lot of interesting objects to test out.

We used all kinds of tools to make pumpkin pictures. :)

Mr. Potato Head parts make for an interesting pumpkin!
Our pumpkin puppets were fun to sing with.
This little pumpkin had a birthday this week! :)
We enjoyed having an extra hand Wednesday to help us with our projects.
Some of us preferred to use our hands while a few of us enjoyed the spoon to scoop out the pumpkin's insides.
Our baked cinnamon and sugar pumpkin seeds smelled a little better than they tasted according to the "panel." :)

Enjoying this beautiful October weather!

Trike-a-thon

THANK YOU SO MUCH for helping us have another great trike-a-thon! Thank you for your awesome donations to help our school! The night was a blast and a huge success. :) Here are a few shots of our kiddos.... when I could track them down. :)
